WHAT IS SEGUIN FAMILY
INSTITUTE?
Seguin Family Institute (SFI) is a private mental health facility.
Counseling is available to individuals, families, and groups for
a wide range of concerns. Many types of assessments/evaluations
are also available. All services are confidential. SFI's staff counselors
specialize in general/individual therapy, as well as marriage and
family therapy. Many of the counselors are trained and certified
in specific treatments. All therapists are specially trained, licensed
and/or certified in their respective fields. All interns are supervised
by licensed therapists.
WHO COMES TO SFI?
Couples who may be experiencing troubled relationships, children
or adolescents suffering from anger outbursts or problems at school,
and individuals undergoing stressful changes or feeling overwhelmed
by personal or employment situations often come to SFI for individual
or family therapy. Many times this therapy is very brief in duration.
Individuals who have been victimized in some way often come to
SFI for the therapy that is so important to healing and future happiness.
For many of these individuals, the therapy services are funded by
the Attorney General's office, through a special crime victim's
account.
Individuals who are accused and/or convicted of crimes against other individuals
can enroll in specialized rehabilitation treatment programs at SFI.
These treatment programs are highly structured, intensive, and are
approved by the courts and referring agencies in several counties.
For the comfort of everyone, these treatment programs are scheduled
at a separate location and at different times than other SFI therapy
services.
SFI always provides total confidentiality, flexible scheduling,
and affordable rates.
When our interpersonal relationships are in trouble, when we need
help with finding new directions, or when we just need to be heard
and understood, therapy can be the answer.
