Individual and Family Therapy

Seguin Family Institute (SFI) provides counseling to individuals, families, and groups for a wide range of concerns. Most sessions are 50 minutes in length and can be scheduled for many morning, afternoon, or evening appointment times. A sliding-scale fee arrangement is offered to all clients who elect to pay their fees at the time of service. SFI's staff counselors are specially trained, licensed, and/or certified in their respective fields to provide general/individual therapy, group therapy, or marriage and family therapy. Intern services are enjoyed by many clients, which provide even more savings. All interns are supervised by licensed therapists.

Individual, marital, and family therapy sessions are scheduled for many reasons and for many people. Couples who may be experiencing troubled relationships, children or adolescents suffering from anger outbursts or problems at school, and individuals undergoing stressful changes or feeling overwhelmed by personal or employment situations often come to SFI for individual or family therapy. Many times this therapy is very brief in duration.

Individuals who have been victimized in some way often come to SFI for the therapy that is so important to healing and future happiness. For many of these individuals, the therapy services are funded by the Attorney General's office, through a special crime victim's account. Survivor issues are usually addressed in individual or group therapy format.

Many times a friend, employer, family member, or the courts will recommend counseling to someone. Sometimes we recognize a need for therapy on our own. When our interpersonal relationships are in trouble, when we need help with finding new directions, or when we just need to be heard and understood, therapy can be the answer.
